On the sloping surface of the lawn five little mounds have been created, each with a roughly dressed stone block set on top. Cut into the five blocks is the word wave, each in a different language -

WAVE VAGUE WOGE ONDA UNDA

So the undulations in the land turn it into a sea, and the blocks float on the crests of the waves like boats, or terrestrial flotsam. The sound of the words contributes to the imagined effect of a wave's build up and resolution, as the vowels and consonants progress through sounds with more impetus to the softer and gentler sounds in the Latin unda.
